Fagan's, formerly the Barrel Inn, is one of the oldest licensed premises in Sheffield, and is known across the World for it's traditional music sessions

Recorded in January 2023 just before Tom and Barbara Boulding (the pub's longest serving landlords) retired after 37 years behind the bar.

Episode one of the Fagan's pub history podcast. A short dive into the early history of Fagan's public house in Sheffield told through the stories of some of the people who have been part of the pub and it's community over the past 200 years.

Recorded just after the retirement of long-standing landlords Tom and Barbara Boulding in February 2023. This episode talks about how Tom and Barbara took on the pub and it's musical heritage in the 1980s, and how they started to build the community and traditional music sessions that the pub is now famous for.

Episode three of the Fagan's pub history podcast. A short dive into the history of the legendary Fagan's public house in Sheffield, told through the stories of some of the people who have been part of the pub and it's community over the past 40 years. Recorded just after the retirement of long-standing landlords Tom and Barbara Boulding in February 2023.

This final episode looks at the 1990s and early 2000s and talks about Fagan's international reach, changes to the pub including the smoking ban in 2007, and how Tom and Barbara built an extended Fagan's family at the heart of the Sheffield folk music scene.
